Katie!!! I love this and am finding it so encouraging as I’m just-as-we-speak refreshing my website after YEARS of literal dormancy. My youngest has JUSST started primary school today so I’m ready to take more work. This is exactly what I needed to hear today!!! Thanks and thanks again 😊

SAME! My children just started primary school as well (weep), so after years of putting my art on hold, I am finally starting to dedicate more time to my art :) Nice to hear there are others in a similar boat <3 Just saw your page -- your work is lovely!

Helloo Margarette - the link in the email will be broken because SOMEONE (ahem.. me) got the music levels wrong on the original video so I had to delete and reupload with no music. Here's the new link! https://youtu.be/BGi1kyYXzmY?si=8Qrglzhf5k4q72WS :) no pay wall woohooo

Thank you Katie!! This was just what I needed after finishing the Freak Flag course and biding my time til the business course begins :) I'm mid-career as an illustrator, but want to take it to full time from part time, and the "how??" has had me guessing. Ta for the top tips and breaking it down so well. You're the best!

LOVED this! Thank you for sharing such wonderfully useful tips :) I am just starting to post over here on Substack and it can be so easy to feel discouraged (especially when your social media/subscriber count is so low -- who the heck will see this stuff anyway?!). I love when other creators are generous with their knowledge and experiences <3 I especially love the tip on becoming your own client to build up your dream portfolio :)
